The Last Legion
I liked this movie. I thought it was pretty cool. I like plots set "in the past." I also find the Roman empire entirely fascinating as well as mythology. There is a little of both in this movie.
It helps that the main person who kicks some ass in this movie is female.
The night a young boy, who happens to be the last blood line to Julius Caesar, becomes emperor his empire falls. The main captain of one of the nine legions vows to protect him to the death. In an attempt to rescue the emperor and find the ninth legion to win back Rome the group of soldiers runs into many problems.
Only in one last battle can they gain back their land and allow Caesar to rule once again.
So, I may not have summed up this movie very well. But, it is kid friendly, interesting, and fun. I may or may not watch it again, but if there was a sequel I would definitely watch it.
Expert Says: 3.5 stars, kid friendly.
