In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

Old age movies? I love them. This movie? Not so much. There are very few movies that I have ever been able to not finish. This was one of them. I was about 15-20 minutes into it and I switched the movie. I just couldn't follow. The plot wasn't coming, it was a little slow, and the acting was not good! I even like most of the actors/actresses that are in this movie. Maybe it was just poor directing.

Cruel Intentions

Sex, drugs, scandal, betrayal, seduction, death... I love seeing the lives of rich people unfold. I find it even more exciting when the lives of rich people fall apart. This movie, while is focuses of a group of teenagers, is no movie for a teenager.

We have Kathryn and Sebastian two sex addicted step-siblings who livelihood is being threatened by the other when Kathryn bets Sebastian that he de-virginize Annette, a girl who wants to wait until marriage. Sebastian succeeds in his goal, but Annette has become something more than just a bet. Now, he has to choose between is epic reputation or the love of his life. Annette has to choose if she can accept Sebastian for who he really is, and Kathryn, must learn to cover up her tracks.

Because I Said So

This is really one of my favorite movies. Before I watched it I assumed it would be about this controlling Mother. In the first few minutes I realized it was not exactly about a controlling Mother, but instead the success a mother wants for her daughter.

While I am not a mother, I am sure other Mothers would agree that sometimes, Moms, overreact and sometimes what the mom feels is in the best interest of the daughter, is not always the case.

The movie is about a single woman who meets a rich architect at an event she is catering for. They end up dating. The single woman then meets a more laid back musician. Eventually, she discovers her mothers ploy, and is forced to choose (or get rid of) one of the men in her life.
